President Donald Trump responded to the midterm election results, tweeting the night has been a “tremendous success.”

The president posted the tweet shortly after 11 p.m. Eastern time, writing, “Tremendous success tonight. Thank you to all!”

As of the time of the tweet, Fox News reported that Republicans maintained control of the Senate, but were projected to lose the House to the Democrats.

The states Trump held rallies in during the closing days before the midterms nearly all appeared to be ending up in the win column for Senate Republican candidates.

These include GOP pickups in North Dakota, Missouri, and Indiana, as well as holds in closely contested races in Texas and Tennessee.

As of this writing, Florida, a potential pick up, and Arizona, a hold, are too close to call, but leaning Republican.

Nevada, a state the Democrats are hoping to take away from Republican Sen. Dean Heller, is still outstanding, and Montana was leaning toward a hold for incumbent Democrat Sen. Jon Tester.

Republicans maintaining control of the Senate means Trump’s judicial appointments will continue to go forward.

It also means any attempts to try to undo the Trump agenda would not only have to overcome a presidential veto, but also be approved by the GOP controlled Senate.

Looks like a miserable couple of years for President Trump and conservatives going forward – every day a new “scandal” introduced by some grandstanding democrat asshat like Nadler or Schiff or Mad Maxine Waters. God help us.

well one thing for sure,,, we wont have to worry about too much legislation since the house will be busy investigating everyone from the other party,,they are not interested in this country only their need to make someone pay for losing the Whitehouse

Ok…before drowning ourselves in a bucket of beer, let’s look at the positive in all this. First, the President’s momentum was often slowed because of the RINOS he had to work with these last few years. Second, it’s always good to keep your “enemies” close. Third, the Democrats who are in, are now going to be given enough rope to hang themselves! So, let’s just see how this plays out!

It is too bad President Trump didn’t have the time to come to Washington State and ralley for Susan Hutchison. I am not complaining though! He is the hardest working President we have seen at least since Ronald Reagan, and I think stamina wise, he out distances any that I have seen in my lifetime. He probably chose not to come here to Washington State, because he knew it was a waste of time. We have King,Snohomish and Pierce Counties, which ate liberal Leftis Havens of Urbanity who breed Liberalism. Sanctuaries for illegals and cry baby Government “Nanny Wonks!”
