BREAKING: Top Fox News Host Announces Future Run For US Senate

A rising tide lifts all boats, so it’s not surprising that President Trump‘s meteoric ascension to the world’s most powerful job has inspired other celebrities to consider politics.

Fox News anchor Eric Bolling has a lucrative gig on the world’s No. 1 cable news network, but after his high-profile TV career ends, he’d like to be a senator representing New Jersey.

“When the lights go down on my TV career, the next step is running for Senate,” Bolling told NJ.com. That won’t be for many years since Bolling recently signed a long-term contract with Fox News as the host of “The Fox News Specialists.”

When asked if he plans to run against New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker, Bolling laughed: “Not yet.”

Like other Fox News stars, Bolling’s broadcasting career did not follow the usual path of journalism school and local TV reporting. The former commodities trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange was “discovered” on the trading room floor, which led to a career on CNBC in 2007 and then on Fox Business Network.

In 2000, Bolling turned down the chance to compete on Donald Trump’s hit reality TV show, “The Apprentice.” But the two remained on friendly terms over the next few years. Bolling has since become a vocal defender of the president, who is viciously maligned around the clock by left-wing media.

Earlier this year, Eric Bolling turned down the job of secretary of commerce but remains loyal to President Trump, whom he calls a patriotic leader who has been great for the U.S. economy and for restoring American leadership on the world stage.

The media slams Trump as bad for America, but on Wall Street, money talks and bullsh*t walks. The stock market has repeatedly hit record highs since Trump took office. This shows that business and consumer confidence in Trump remains sky-high.

“What matters to 90% of the people is how they’re doing, how their 401K is, can they take their family out to dinner,” Bolling said. “And that’s what getting better under Trump.”

Bolling recently slammed showboating fired FBI director James Comey, who’s set to rake in millions in book and movie deals, thanks to Trump.

“I find it appalling that an FBI director leaked information,” Bolling said (see video starting at 2:48). “If he thought that the information was not classified, and if he thought it wasn’t that big of a deal that he could go ahead and give it to the New York Times, why didn’t he do it himself?”
