Fox Business anchor Trish Regan is out at the network, according to statements from Fox Business and Regan.

Regan hosted “Trish Regan Primetime,” which was put on hiatus amid the novel coronavirus crisis. The show was put on pause two weeks ago because of the demands of coronavirus coverage, according to the network.

“Trish Regan Primetime” was paused after Regan made controversial comments about the novel coronavirus on March 9. Fox Business did not say this was what caused her hiatus, and announced Friday that the network had “parted way” with Regan.

At the start of her nightly show, she accused Democrats and the “liberal media” of targeting President Donald Trump and overhyping the pandemic compared with previous outbreaks. The segment, titled “Coronavirus Impeachment Scam,” triggered a pushback on Twitter as downplaying the epidemic.

She said, “The media’s reaction, with the global town halls, and the media treating this like it is some kind of missing-plane story, what is that? Did they do this during ebola? No. We didn’t see this kind of insanity during SARS. And SARS and Ebola, those viruses were far more deadly. So why the melodrama on such an agitated scale? Why are the markets reacting? I’ll give you two words: Donald Trump.”

“Fox Business has parted ways with Trish Regan – we thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” the network said in a statement.

“We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”

Regan said in a statement that she intends “to focus on my family during these troubled times.” The network did not say whether Regan would appear on any of its other programs, according to the New York Times.

“I have enjoyed my time at Fox and now intend to focus on my family during these troubled times,” Regan said in a statement.

“I am grateful to my incredible team at Fox Business and for the many opportunities the network has provided me. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career.”

Fired for telling the truth, huh Fox? You idiots. What did the democrats promise you to become turn coats?

  • Dane says:

So where’s the problem with what she said Fox?

  • Tony says:

Great attitude. She is looking forward to the next step. But she is also right with her coverage. It seems Fox may not be a reliable anymore. They finally drank the funny juice.

There will soon be no tv media news to watch. Fox was the last stronghold for conservatives and watching it implode is very sad. Love The Five but am heartily sick of Juan Williams and the other “fair and balanced” libs they have to put up with. Perilous times.

  • Jon Eversole says:

They get rid of her and keep the far left Chris Wallace who thinks we care about his opinion. He’s the one who needs to go!

We are very very very sorry to hear that Trish has been let go from FBN. She is your sharpest and most brilliant anchor on both the FBN and FOX. If Fox keeps their anchors on such a tight rope then your network will become like CNN and other stations that seem to be so narrow in their scope that the audience will tune out. Trish was so courageous in her coverage of the Politics of today. We think that you have made a very poor decision and only hope you will reconsider. Her show was like a breath of fresh air compared to all of the competition out there on the News, even some carried on your own Network. If she does move on to another network then she will have an immediate following of loyal listeners…….in the meantime we wish her well and feel so sad for her being caught up in this day of P.C.
