Donald Trump Just Send HUGE Message to Rep. Lewis – Nobody Expected THIS

Published

on

Democratic Georgia Rep. John Lewis confirmed that Trump’s inauguration is the first he will be skipping as a lawmaker. But, nobody saw this coming…

Lewis “forgot” to mention that he skipped the 2001 Inauguration of George W. Bush. Yes, for the same reason he is skipping Trump’s inauguration.

After this video came out, Fox News Business anchor Trish Regan presented a 2001 excerpt from the Washington Post.

WaPo wrote in 2001:

John Lewis, for instance, spent [inauguration] day in his Atlanta district. He thought it would be hypocritical to attend Bush’s swearing-in because he doesn’t believe Bush is the true elected president.

During his Sunday interview with “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, Lewis gave an explanation for his decision to boycott Trump’s inauguration:

“You know, I believe in forgiveness. I believe in trying to work with people. It will be hard. It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president.”

Sounds familiar?

But, Donald Trump said a few words on this:

Lewis used this opportunity. Profits, people. His office released a fundraising letter to his supporters:

What do you think about Lewis and other Democrats who decided to skip the inauguration?

As for Lewis in my opinion if he did March with MLK, he much have to
Taped his mouth up, because MR.King would never had him around.
MLK, was a great person in his time. He wanted something for his people
    And won
What Lewis is leaving out that it KKK, that fought against King so I heard. Ask Lewis about this, he said he was there

The Democrats who choose to boycott the inauguration deserve to be relieved of their duties. Attending inaugural functions is part of the job, as the traditions would demonstrate. Yes, there have always been those who didn’t attend for whatever reason, but when you have such a huge faction that is refusing to attend, it clearly is an act of insubordination. No they do not “HAVE” to go, but the tradition is that they show their respect for the Presidency. The Office of President is entitled to certain respect, whether or not they like the person who holds the office. Its a little like paying your respects at a funeral even though you may not be particularly unhappy that the person has died. Its not necessarily something to discuss publicly, but it nevertheless is something you just DO, as civilly and politely as you can manage. If they are elected, they should probably not be reelected, since they apparently don’t know how to compromise, to give and take, to agree to disagree…. they only seem to know to protest, to disrupt, to tear down. As such, they probably have not been very good representatives for their voters in the first place, and its unlikely they deserve to return to office in a reelected capacity. But voters…. that is YOUR JOB, when they don’t do their job. Vote for them again…. you probably deserve them. Replace them and see your area getting attention and being heard again. Its up to you.
