While campaigning for president, California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris said she’d look into reparations for slavery. Now the running mate to presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden might have a chance to tackle reparations. But Harris might have to come to terms with claims from her father that her ancestors were slave owners.

According to Harris’ father Donald Harris, a retired Stanford University economics professor, the Harris family descends from a 19th-century slave owner, Hamilton Brown.

“My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town) and to my maternal grandmother Miss Iris (née Iris Finegan, farmer and educator, from Aenon Town and Inverness, ancestry unknown to me). The Harris name comes from my paternal grandfather Joseph Alexander Harris, land-owner and agricultural ‘produce’ exporter…” Harris allegedly wrote in an article for Jamaica Global, according to Snopes.

Brown owned multiple plantations throughout the 19th-century, even going so far as to say slaves were “comfortable” in Jamaica, according to a pamphlet from 1832 entitled “Three months in Jamaica” that documented life on sugar plantations. Brown also advocated against the abolition of slavery, per Snopes.

Mr. Harris’ claims remain unproven with no verifiable information supporting the claim that the Harris family descended from Hamilton Brown.

Harris has voiced her support for studying reparations for black Americans impacted by the effects of slavery and racial discrimination, but says she’s not sure what exactly those reparations would look like.

“This stuff needs to be studied, because America needs a history lesson, and to be honest about it, and we need to study it in a way that we are having a very comprehensive and fact-based conversation about policies and the connection between those policies and harm if we’re going to have a productive conversation. It can’t just be, ‘Hey…write some checks’,” said Harris while speaking in Iowa in 2019, according to The Des Moines Register.

Well folks listen up! I happen to have in my little pud a copy of Kamala’s birth certificate and it states her mother was born in India but ….drumroll here…..under color or race it states CAUCASIAN!!! Let that sink in…because it could only mean the mother was born in India to white parents hence the ‘Caucasian”. Kamala is HALF WHITE…just like Obama, however, as neither parent was an American citizen at the time of her birth she cannot be President …SO…..if Biden snuffs it who will become President? Why none other than Nancy Pelosi AND it may come so fast our heads will spin. Be very careful how we vote…very, very careful.

Absolutely she is NOT a natural born citizen of the USA. Article 2 Section 2 of the US Constitution states only a natural born citizen can be POTUS and VP. Her father was born in Jamaica with his citizenship as British -Jamaican and her mother was born in India. Her mother never became an American citizen while she lived in the US prior to moving and living in Canada after her divorce. Her father says he did natualize but so far there is no proof. Both would have to give up their birth countries to become americans citizens. Still doesnt matter, neither parent was a american citizen at the time of the birth of Kamala, therefore Kamala is NOT a Natural Born Citizen. She is ineligible to be POTUS AND VP.

The same law applied to obama but the democrat liars allowed him to destroy our Constitution. Funny how the constitution is just a piece of paper to them. They are all corrupt criminals and need to be eliminated for treason.

I’m no Democrat, but sorry, natural-born citizen means natural-born citizen. As Wikipedia puts it: “In 2009 in Ankeny v. Governor,[62] the Indiana Court of Appeals reaffirmed that persons born within the borders of the United States are “natural born Citizens”, regardless of the citizenship of their parents.” So it’s enough that Ms. Harris was born in California.
