Longtime columnist E. Jean Carroll says Elle fired her after several decades with the magazine — and it’s all President Donald Trump’s fault.

Carroll, who said that Trump raped her in 1995 or 1996, took to Twitter to blast the president for her firing on Tuesday.

Carroll wrote, “Because Trump ridiculed my reputation, laughed at my looks, & dragged me through the mud, after 26 years, ELLE fired me. I don’t blame Elle. It was the great honor of my life writing ‘Ask E. Jean.’ I blame @realdonaldtrump.”

As reported by Jezebel, the New York Times published a Tuesday court filing including an email from executive managing editor of Elle, Erin Hobday.

Hobday’s email read, “We and your readers so appreciate your many years of work for the magazine, and the wonderful columns you contributed to our publication.”

In November, Carroll filed a lawsuit accusing the president of defamation over his denials of her sexual assault allegations. In her original allegation, Carroll said that Trump accosted her in a dressing room after which he “[thrusted] his penis halfway — or completely, I’m not certain — inside me.”

Carroll insisted that she never reported the alleged incident, but instead, told two friends at the time.

The White House issued a statement on Carroll’s allegations, calling them “completely false and unrealistic.” Trump himself later issued a follow-up statement insisting that he never even met her, and blamed the allegations on the release of her then-forthcoming book.

Despite her allegations, Carroll said that she would not pursue rape charges because it would diminish the experience of those women at the U.S. southern border who are “being raped around the clock.”

At the time, press secretary Stephanie Grisham said, “Let me get this straight: Ms. Carroll is suing the president for defending himself against false allegations? I guess since the book did not make any money, she’s trying to get paid another way. … The lawsuit is frivolous, and the story is a fraud — just like the author.”

Sorry to have to say this but, after over 20 years, give or take a few, this woman is obviously just trying to get her 15 minutes of fame. It’s not gonna work. Any woman who has been raped remembers the exact time, date and YEAR that it happened. She refused to charge Trump with rape because, she knows that there is no evidence. Women like this INFURIATE ME because, they make it so much harder for TRUE rape victims to get a conviction against their rapist!!!

Well, E you just gotta blame some one or something because God forbid you should be responsible for your own life and what happens in it. Doubt there are others clamoring to hire you either. Poor baby!

It’s election time, their coming out of the wood work again.

Typical elitist response from Carrol. She takes absolutely no responsibility for her own reprehensible behavior and lies, but instead tries to blame someone else. So predictable.
