Four Louisiana policemen went to a restaurant to have dinner, the Outback Steakhouse. As soon as they walked through the doors the manager and waiter saw their uniform and decided to send them a little message. This happened on Outback in Slidell, when four policemen decided to stop for a bite. They were served immediately and everything was going as it should be, until the end of the dinner when they got their receipt.

“They’re the sweetest guys,” stated Zoe Rao the waiter. “I enjoy waiting on them.” As it seems the policemen are polite customers, and the manager Arline Wood, an 18-year veteran of the company, noticed that instantly. So, she and the waiter decided to pay their dinner and send them one amazing message written on the receipt.

“Be safe!” was written on the top of the receipt, and the message continued “Thank y’all for y’all’s service! Enjoy y’all’s meal on us!”

The officers were pleasantly surprised and wanted to repay the kindness so they took a photo of the message and shared it on their Facebook profiles, and of course, the picture went viral.

Anyhow, Wood and Rao weren’t expecting this so the attention they received was little too much according to Wood, “I got a phone call early in the morning and I was like what are you talking about?” Wood said. “People were calling me and then we saw it on Facebook, then it’s on this one and that one, and we didn’t do it for this publicity because Lord knows I don’t like all this publicity.”

The two Outback employees just want to inspire other people to show their gratitude towards those who risk their own lives to keep us safe every single day.

These women definitely deserved the attention they got, they left a great example of how to treat police officers for everything they do for us. We need to see this kind of kindness more often, rather than seeing these great men be denied service.

Please share this post on Facebook if you believe police officers should be treated like this more often.

I think that is an excellent idea, but what happens if you live in an area where the police are down right ugly and disrespectful to the community. It would be good if they could be terminated and replaced, hopefully soon. I guess I can always go the nearest area to me, and help someone. I have respect for all officers of the law, but a couple of these, we are not sure where they came from, but wish they would go back.
