Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg lamented the current state of Supreme Court confirmation hearings, calling them a “highly partisan show.”

“The way it was, was right,” speaking of her own confirmation hearing where she was confirmed with a vote of 96-3, a tally that would be unheard of in today’s political climate. “The way it is, is wrong,” she added.

Ginsburg also pointed out that Antonin Scalia was confirmed 98-0 despite his known conservative leanings.

“Think of Justice Scalia, who’s certainly a known character in, what was it? 1986,” she said. “The vote was unanimous, every Democrat and every Republican voted for him. That’s the way it should be, instead of what it’s become, which is a highly partisan show.”

“The Republicans move in lockstep, and so do the Democrats. I wish I could wave a magic wand and have it go back to the way it was.”

Justice Ginsburg made these comments during an interview with Goodwin H. Liu, a former clerk who now sits on the California Supreme Court, and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association at George Washington University.

Ginsburg made these comments after a very heated interview process during the Senate hearings, where he was grilled by Democrat Senators and the hearing was constantly interrupted by protestors.

Watch her full thoughts on the hearing in the video below:

Ginsburg isn’t the only liberal supporting rational thought regarding the Kavanaugh nomination.

Lisa Blatt is a self-described “liberal, feminist lawyer” who is pro-choice and voted for Hillary Clinton. All these things would lead you to expect that she would strongly be against Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court by President Donald Trump.

But you’d be wrong.

Blatt perhaps gave the strongest endorsement of Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court of anyone on Tuesday’s confirmation hearing.

Lisa Blatt is a veteran Supreme Court attorney and has won more cases than any other woman, 32 of 35 cases to be exact. Someone with her experience deserves to be listened to.

Blatt opened her statement by introducing herself as “a liberal Democrat and an unapologetic defender of a woman’s right to choose.” She also called Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg her “hero” and that she voted for both Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Hear what she had to say in support of Kavanaugh in the video below:

“I’m here today to introduce Judge Kavanaugh and urge the Senate to confirm him as a next associate justice of the Supreme Court,” said Blatt. Despite the hate she has received for her support, Blatt said that “Judge Kavanaugh is clearly qualified to serve on the Supreme Court.”

Wow! Not the words you would have expected from a bonafide liberal lawyer!

Smart Lady and I see that Justice Ginsberg has woken up and is seeing that just because you don’t like our President, or what he stands for, that Judge Kavanaugh shouldn’t have to pay that price. He has nothing to do with it. The Supreme Court Justices should be bi-partisan or get off the bench.

Ginsburg, poor thing……..she should retire. She’s hanging on but seems very much ‘out of it’. Hopefully; she can make good decisions in spite of her frailty.

As we are beginning to see, rational people (regardless of political views) are aware that the Demo Left Socialist are beyond the pale. Theater only has value in a theater. You watch the show, know its not real and then go home. If you were entertained you recommend it, if not you tell folks to not waste their time and money. And so it is.

WOW! Where was their opinions on President Obama’ nominee Judge Garland. I didn’t her Blatt say anything or even speak out when Mitch McConnell wouldn’t take a vote for Judge Garland and was rob of the seat currently occupied by Gorsuch. So now ever Democrat should go along with Kavanaugh because Blatt said so. Well Mitch McConnell didn’t want Kavanaugh in the first place, probably because he was already aware of his thinking on ROE vs Wade, a President shouldn’t be impeached, etc. it’s all in his court writings and that’s exactly why the Republicans didn’t want to release all of his documents.

Her confirmation showed how infiltrated the GOP was with closet Democrat RINOs! I doubt the result would be the same if she faced Confirmation today!

Thank you Lisa Blatt for your support of Judge Kavanaugh and for your call for a return to fairness and civility. Feinstein looked like she just received a slap in the face!
