Sean Hannity Is Not Going To Be Awarded William F. Buckley Award Due To Trump Support

Sean Hannity was going to be awarded the William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence at the Media Research Center’s annual gala in Washington in September, but Buckley’s son objected this.

William F. Buckley who founded National Review magazine in 1955, and was a famous conservative and has expressed that in print and on the air until his death in 2008.

Buckley’s son, Christopher, 64, “expressed great dismay” that Hannity was the person receiving the award and told MRC objection.

Christopher’s disapproval was only because Hannity is a loud Trump supporter. National Review strongly disapproved Trump candidacy, stating that if the candidate has conservative viewpoints he should not be trusted to govern.

Rush Limbaugh, Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., and Mollie Hemingway were part of the guest list, unlike Hannity who was excluded from the gala’s website.

According to both, MRC and Hannity, Hannity is not receiving the award because of a scheduling issue.

“It’s my understanding there was a scheduling conflict,” Ryan Moy stated for CNN.

Hannity showed his disagreement on Twitter, beginning with an attack at CNN for being “fake news”.

Then he twitted that if Buckley’s son and National Review disagreed to him receiving the award, he was not aware of it.

Then he twitted these “Awards” are “BS” anyway, and his focus is the audience and the country.

Hannity’s tweets provoked CNN’s Jake Tapper response back to Hannity, which then provoked him for counter-punch.

Hannity responded to the tweet, marking WikiLeaks emails exposing CNN corresponding with Democrat National Committee staff members.

Ex CNN contributor and DNC acting chairwoman Donna Brazile was dismissed by the network after the emails showed that she had fed debate questions to Hillary Clinton.

Washington Post reporter Erik Wemple noted that Hannity was “losing his mind” over the Buckley Award controversy.

“Erik, I’m having my usual twitter fun,” Hannity answered.

Sean, awards look good on the resume only. You don’t need a resume. You just keep doing what you are doing. The real people of this country know how good you are at your job. Those others who THINK they make a difference can just stick their heads back into the sand. They only pull those heads out when it is payday and lunch time.

Sean Hannity doesn’t need that kind of award anyway, he’s got the award of the American people who watches his show every night on FOX. It’s ok Sean, you deserve a better, honest award from real and sincere group of people because there is nothing fake about your reporting and we support you being supportive of our President. your fans got your back on this, keep doing a good job. Thank you.
