Following Trump’s decision to give the position of White House communications director to the Wall Street financier Anthony Scaramucci, Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned from his position on Friday, making the whole social media to fire up with mixed reactions.
Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who often says that she wants to impeach Trump, immediately wrote on Twitter, congratulating Spicer for having “more guts” than Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
“Congratulations Sean Spicer. You’ve got more guts than Jeff Sessions!” Waters wrote.

Trump stated that he wouldn’t have nominated Sessions for attorney general if he knew that Sessions would recuse himself from the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Despite the discussions whether Trump supports his attorney general, the White House stated that Trump doesn’t plan to fire Sessions now.
Sessions stated that he intends to stay at the Justice Department for “as long as that is appropriate.”
Allegedly Spicer decided to resign because of his strong disapproval of Trump’s appointment of Scaramucci as communications director.
Even though Trump asked him to stay in the administration under Scaramucci, Spicer decided to leave, and allegedly he said to Trump that appointing Scaramucci is a huge mistake.
Spicer twitted about his resignation, pointing out that he will remain to work as press secretary until September.
“It’s been an honor & a privilege to serve @POTUS @realDonaldTrump & this amazing country. I will continue my service through August,” he wrote.

Spicer said to CNN’s Dana Bash, “I wanted to give the president and the new team a clean slate.”
