While Marxist Democrats and Mitt Romney bleat endlessly about the need for “police reforms,” real cops are facing real dangers every single day — and increasingly so in an increasingly lawless country.
But whenever an officer is gunned down in the line of duty, all we hear from that side of the political aisle are crickets. And that’s disgusting.
Another member of the thin blue line perished while on the job early Saturday morning, as families and residents of his community were asleep and possibly dreaming about the coming day’s July 4th activities.
As The Epoch Times reported:
The Toledo Police Department confirmed in a release that officer Anthony Dia was shot in the chest while responding to a call about an intoxicated man in a Home Depot parking lot on July 4. When Dia approached the male, according to witnesses, the male turned around and shot Dia in the chest.
Dia was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, officials said.
Witnesses told the department that they saw the suspect flee into a wooded area. While officers investigated the area, they heard a gunshot in the wooded area.
Worse, his last words were recorded in a final communication with an emergency dispatcher: “Tell my family I love them.”
This Officer’s life mattered. He made the ultimate sacrifice protecting & serving his community while most were at home comfortably sleeping in their beds. Will any politicians or professional sports teams acknowledge this HERO? May you Rest In Peace Officer Dia. 🙏🏼💙 pic.twitter.com/s65DdAw2DS

Chilling. And extremely sad.
Toledo Police Chief George Kral said that “it’s a sad day for the Toledo Police Department, and most importantly it’s a sad day for the family, friends, loved ones, and fellow officers of Ofc. Anthony Dia, who paid the ultimate sacrifice in protecting his city tonight.”
Dia, 26, joined the department in 2018. He wasn’t a rookie but he wasn’t a vet for that long, either.
He leaves behind a wife whom he met at a concern a decade ago and two small boys whom he always provided for.
“I will never forget the sight of Officer Dia being wheeled out of the hospital on a gurney,” Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz told local news outlets. “His body wrapped in an American flag, flanked by about 30 Toledo police officers, saluting and weeping.”
Reports noted that the scumbag who killed Dia, Edward Henry, 57, had a lengthy arrest record going all the way back to 1986. At the time he ‘allegedly’ shot and killed the officer, was in violation of a court order to appear for an August incident in which he threatened to shoot a woman who had confronted him for urinating on her fence.
“To honor the life and service of Officer Dia, I have ordered that the flags in Lucas County and at the Statehouse be lowered to half-staff beginning tomorrow and through his funeral service,” Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said in a statement.
This is the inevitable effect of lawlessness. Based on his rap sheet alone, Henry should have already been in prison for the rest of us life busting rocks for a living, having proved time and again that he can’t abide by civil society’s rules.
But of course, we’ll not hear any of that from Democrats or their lawless Marxist revolutionaries in the BLM movement.
