A harrowing video from inside the Borderline Bar shows gunman Ian David Long going on his bloody rampage in Thousand Oaks, California, on Wednesday night.
The Instagram video posted by Dallas Knapp briefly shows the shooter firing shots at victims on the other side of the venue.
“I looked him in his eyes while he killed my friends,” Knapp wrote on Instagram.
“I hope he rots in hell for eternity. The guy you see is the murderer and the shots are him shooting the wounded on the ground.”
The sound of smashing glass could be heard and gunshots ring out in the video as Knapp takes cover. He then runs out of the bar and into safety.
Long, 28, stormed the country music-themed venue at around 11:20 p.m. and opened fire into the crowd.
A total of 12 people were killed before the shooter took his own life.
