Throughout his sham of a presidency, Barack Obama has made it clear that he has no respect for the U.S. military. That’s what made it so refreshing when Donald Trump dropped everything on Saturday to attend the annual Army-Navy football game.
Daily Mail reported that Trump flew to Baltimore to attend the 117th game between the military academies at West Point and Annapolis. He tweeted that he was going to the game “as a show of support for our Armed Forces.”
Obama only attended the game once during his presidency, refusing to go the other seven years.
When Trump arrived at the game, he was greeted by liberal protesters chanting “No Trump, No KKK, No fascist U.S.A.” and “We reject the president-elect.” They were also holding signs that said things like, “Resist” and “Make Fascists Hide Again.”
“We knew we need to not back down from Trump,” Ro, one of the protest’s leaders, told USA Today. “We want to make it clear that Baltimore is going to be a place where immigrants can find sanctuary if things continue going the way they’re going with the new president.”
“We thought it was important to show there are people who oppose him and don’t want him in our town,” Charles Kerr said to the Baltimore Sun.
Unfazed, Trump spent the first half of the game in the box of David Urban, a West Point graduate and Republican adviser and the second half in the box of retired Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North, a graduate of Annapolis. We hope he enjoyed the game!
