Country music superstar and Texas native Reba McEntire attended the final memorial for former President George H.W. Bush in Houston on Thursday, performing a stunning musical rendition of the Lord’s Prayer.
Those in attendance, including former President George H.W. Bush, sat in silence as McEntire sang the words of the famous prayer:
“Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.”
Amen.
When the camera cut to the Bush family, George W. Bush could be seen wiping tears from his eyes, clearly moved by the singer’s amazing performance.

Not a big deal, but Reba is an Okie, Born and Bred. But she’s a sweatheart, and Texas is one of our best neighbors, so we will let them claim her too.

Whats with the “computer voice” prayer . And yes, Reba is a sweatheart. But a nicer word during the sensitive period would be nice.
