The Trump administration received backlash for pulling Jim Acosta’s press pass late Wednesday evening. While some cheered the decision, others disagreed with the reasoning behind the decision.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, however, said the Trump administration stands by their decision. Sanders also included a slow motion video of earlier’s encounter between Acosta and an intern, which highlights the incident the White House describes as Acosta “placing his hands on a young woman.”

Whether or not Acosta hit/assaulted/pushed/shoved (whatever you want to call it) remains up for debate amongst media folks.

You are assuming that he is a reporter! Nothing can be further from the truth. He is a left wing nut job whose main purpose is to make our President look bad.

Instead of asking a question, Acosta started by giving his opinion and lecturing Trump about migrant caravan was not invasion and wanted to argue his opinion. After finally asking a question, he attempted to interrupt (as usual) during Trump’s answer. After asking multiple questions, refused to yield mic when Trump called on someone else. After finally giving up the mic and in the middle of another journalist’s question, he stood up and began arguing with Trump again. I watched the whole thing when it was happening (Live TV). He pushed the intern’s arm away in a downward motion acting like a child protecting his toy. Just your average day for Acosta. He constantly grandstands and never has any regards for any other reporter wanting to get a question in. Should have been kicked out months ago.

Acosta thinks he’s as important as Trump – he’s just a rude disrespectful lightweight that can’t even carry President Trump’s luggage

I can not stand Jim Acosta. But the video doers not show any kind of assault that I can see. But pulling his White House was long over due. he is an obnoxious piece of excrement.

Jonas Miller, look at the video in both slo mo, and at real time speed. It is VERY apparent that Acosta did in fact strike the arm of the intern. Look at how his hand is in a chopping motion. He definitely did a “downward hack” with his left hand, on the intern, with the mic in his right. Trump should not have simply walked away from the podium. What he should have done is step off the stage, … walk up to Acosta, take the mic, and then immediately request security to take his press pass and escort him off the White House property.

No assault…just defending his mic. He should’ve been banned for the obvious reasons that he’s a heckler and disruptive. He lacks decorum and professional class.

Simple and Aggravated Assault. Simple assault, usually charged as a misdemeanor, is the least serious form of assault. It involves minor injury or a limited threat of violence. In states where assault is a physical attack, pushing someone or slapping someone in an argument are instances of simple assault.

Acosta struck her arm with enough force to move her entire upper body, that was a bit more than just touching!
Should a Conservative reporter had done that during an Obama presser they would have been dragged out of there in cuffs and every one of you gripping liberals would have been cheering!
The factg that you guys want to play by a different set of rules is as clear as day, your double standards are on full display!

Well said Glenn. As a woman, that would have been to invasive for me. I probably would have slapped Acosta.
